Boerenbond unites musicians from four cities. 28 year-old Peter Evans(New York) is currently one of the greatest talents on trumpet. He plays with Evan Parker and Mats Gustaffson and performed at Bimhuis with various bands including Mostly Other People Do The Killing. The adventurous vibraphone player Jason Adasiewicz (Chicago) is a key figure in Chicago’s young improv scene alongside Mike Reed, Dave Rempis and Jeff Parker. Tradition and avant-garde are joined together in the fluent playing of tenor saxophonist Tobias Delius (Berlin) The quartet was initiated by cornet player Eric Boeren (Amsterdam) for the most recent festival of improv collective dOeK.
