BRAD MEHLDAU TRIO
Brad Mehldau piano, Larry Grenadier bass, Jeff Ballard drums
15 years ago Brad Mehldau performed at the Bimhuis for the first time, and since then he has developed into the most influential jazz pianist of his generation. He was the first to combine standards with daring interpretations of songs by Radiohead and Nirvana, in compelling concerts in an avowedly narrative vein. He now returns for a three nights, the first two with his trio, celebrating the recent release of the 5 CD set Art of the Trio Recordings 1996-2001. ‘A dizzying alternative to what comes out of most piano trio music’ (Penguin Guide to Jazz).
This concert is sold out, but there are tickets available for Saturday March 24.
