Harry Sokal, who rarely performs in The Netherlands, is among the most important post-Coltrane saxophone players in Europe. ‘... Sokal knowingly sets spontaneous notes aflight, like a bird flying through the four seasons’ (Standard). The Austrian musician plays a duo concert with Wolfert Brederode, the first Dutch pianist to release an album on the renowned ECM label. ‘He displays the unpredictable qualities of an improviser and the precision of a concert pianist at the same time’ (Het Parool).
