The trio Framers By Nature has its origins in New York, but in their improvisations the musicians deliberately take a step back from the rumble and hustle and bustle of the big city. Their music develops organically, like seeds of sound brought to full blossom. Drummer and initiator Gerald Cleaver has been playing for years with pianist Craig Taborn. William Parker has been called ‘one of the most inventive bassists/leaders since Mingus’ by the authoritative Penguin Guide to Jazz.
