Several generations of musicians from the Dutch improv scene meet in Sunchild, the group of guitarist Franky Douglas. The music is timeless; an adventurous mixture of jazz and complex, African oriented grooves. Douglas, who was born in Curaçao, is active since the 1960s in jazz, pop, soul and avant-garde. ‘Franky Douglas plays ‘rhythm’ like nobody else’ (Volkskrant).
