The name Georgie Fame immediately conjures up his 1960s hits Yeh Yeh and The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde, or the famous band leaders with whom he performed: Van Morrison, Bill Wyman and Jools Holland. Listeners should not forget that Fame is a fantastic jazz vocalist, who has mastered standards, as well as obscure bebop.
