The members of Jungle Boldie (formerly known as Tony Overwater Trio) have earned their prominent places in Dutch jazz. The trio has collaborated with other artists who include, Pat Metheny, Ack van Rooyen and Ilse de Lange. Their CD O.P., with compositions by double bass legend Oscar Pettiford, received the prestigious Edison award in 2001. ‘Thoughtful musicians, who only play the essence; matured ideas, flawless timing and a calmness that lets the notes breathe’ (de Volkskrant).
