Drummer Martin van Duynhoven has played with Theo Loevendie Quartet, his own Martin van Duynhoven Percussion Ensemble, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, the Ab Baars Trio, and quite a few other bands. He has appeared on over 50 records and CD’s. Van Duynhoven has a second career as a graphic designer.
The new CD Come listen... features ten of his compositions, such as The Story, based on ancient texts by Ovid, and Rondje Zandvoort met de Mini (A Lap at Zandvoort in the Mini). The slightly eccentric music is brilliantly executed by Van Duynhoven’s ensemble Wyler4, with additional performances by Guus Janssen, Klaas ten Holt and Bibian Harmsen.
