Een uitzonderlijk duo van de Amerikaanse baslegende Steve Swallow en de Braziliaanse topgitarist Paulo Bellinati. Swallow, die hier al in talloze groepen te beluisteren was (waaronder met Paul Bley, Jimmy Giuffre, Carla Bley) hanteert zijn instrument niet zozeer op een typische rockmanier, maar zoekt eerder de hoge noten op en benadert de elektrische bas dus vaak als een gitaar. 'With fantastic, precise technique, Paulo Bellinati is a master of the guitar. His arrangements are transparent and his compositions clearly show him to be mature musician, capable of realizing that very difficult mixture: the subtileties of classical music blended with the popular music idiom' (Antonio Carlos Jobim).
