Sending a rocket into space is a piece of cake compared to what these players are capable of doing. This dream band was conceived by trumpet genius Peter Evans, who builds his layered improvisations from bits of pre-war jazz and innovative sounds. His role model Evan Parker is known as one of the most ground-breaking saxophonists since John Coltrane. Pianist Craig Taborn, number 1 in the Downbeat Critics Poll, uses his instrument as an unpredictable sounding board. Sam Pluta is a specialist when it comes to improvising with live electronics.
