Dazzling playing, a recognizable tone, a sound that is sharp as a knife and intense ballads: these are the elements that characterize Piet Noordijk. In 1965 he received the Wessel Ilcken Prize and in 1987 the Bird Award. Like the title of his most recent album indicates; the emphasis is on a solid soulful groove this time.
