THE JAMIE SAFT BLUES EXPLOSION
Jamie Saft-Hammond organ, guitar, Jonathan Maron-bass, Bobby Previte-drums
The term 'eclectic' has been invented for musicians like Jamie Saft. He plays Jewish jazz with John Zorn's Electric Masada, Cuban inspired music with Marc Ribot and Jane Ira Bloom, jazz rock with Dave Douglas, avant-garde pop with Laurie Anderson and much more. He describes his hew band as 'Texas comes to Brooklyn' and in this power trio that heavily rocks the blues, the much talked of Hammond organ player will also pick up the guitar once in a while.
