Funk, jazz, soul and grooves: The Ob6sions have got them all covered. As t house band for Radio 6’s show Mijke’s Middag they have jammed with such stars as George Duke, Caro Emerald, Chris Potter, Waylon and Dr. Lonnie Smith. The seasoned foursome once again each display their versatility on its debut album First Takes, which will be launched at the Bimhuis. ‘As soloists they seem to sound even better in this house band than in their own bands’ (Jazzenzo).
