THE STORY

At the age of fourteen saxophone player Lars Dietrich played with Herbie Hancock in the television show Masterclass. In 2005 he moved to New York, where he was taught by such masters as Joe Lovano and David Binney and where he founded The Story. This international quintet, with the promising British keyboard player John Escreet, delivers melodic, cutting edge contemporary jazz. ‘A powerful group whose playing is well beyond its youthful guise’ (All About Jazz).
