Guillermo Celano gitaar/effects, Gerard Kleijn trompet/flugelhorn/laptop/voice/effects, Joost Kesselaar drums. Speciale gast: Chris Cheek tenorsax

This Dutch trio (trumpet/guitar/drums) defies categorization with imaginative compositions and improvisations. ‘An agile trio, clearly centered in the present’ (Downbeat, editor’s pick January 2017).

Wild Man Conspiracy represents spontaneity, humor and playfulness. Established names from Dutch music, who can create an orchestral sound with just the three of them. Basically the line-up is trumpet, electric guitar and drums. However, regularly other instruments are included, such as flugelhorn, melodica, keys and percussion. The compositions are compact and extremely varied, from cinematic and serene to rebellious and disturbing. The group previously collaborated with American sax player Chris Cheek and writer Abdelkader Benali. The most recent album Short Stories appeared on the American label Red Piano.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 till 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
