The Bimhuis is nominated for the Amsterdamprijs voor de Kunst 2011! Next to the the Bimhuis there are 6 other nominees:

The price of € 35.000 will presented to 3 of them. The awardshow will be held on Thursday 25 August in Paradiso Amsterdam, the night before the yearly Uitmarkt.

The Amsterdamprijs is the most important art price of the capital city. This award is presented every year to three artists of instiutions whom add a special contribution to the art in Amsterdam. The jury led by chairwoman Jildou van der Bijl selected the nominated and will also announce the winners. The nominees will be judged on quality, innovation and international ambition.

Last year the price was awarded to Krisztina de Châtel, Erik Kessels and Piet Parra.

Besides chairwoman Jildou van de Bijl, the following took place in the judge: Anna Tilroe, Jair Tchong, Wanda Reisel and Maarten van Hinte.
